Page cannot be displayed problem in Internet Explorer
This problem is mainly caused by the unregistered dll files, please follow these steps to register dll files and test again, Here it is:
1. First, go to Start button and go to run then, in run window type ‘CMD‘ and click OK or hit enter.
2. After that, type two commands ‘regsvr32 urlmon.dll’ and ‘regsvr32 actxprxy.dll‘ in the command prompt window.
3. After typing that two commands, continue to register following six dll as well. They are:
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
regsvr32 msxml.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 browseui.dll
regsvr32 msjava.dll
4. Reboot your computer and open Internet Explorer and test again.
Note: I also advised you to disable your personal firewall because sometimes personal firewall with wrong configuration would block the IE from connecting to Internet.
Disable simple file sharing in windows XP
1. Go to my computer and open it.
2. Select tools and click on folder option.
3. Go to view and scroll down the advance setting menu in folder option window. Remove the tick of use simple file sharing (recommended) to disable this feature and click apply and OK.
Enable or disable Network connection
This enabling and disabling network connection feature has been providing in windows XP. This helps you disconnect your network connection without physically unplug network cable.
1. Got start button and click run then, type control after that control panel window will appear.
2. Double click on Network connection.
3. In Network connection window right click on Local area connection. After that click on the enable or disable option to enabling or disabling your network connection, its depends in your wish.
